The Swift Creek Fleet

Engine 1:

Engine 1 is a 2021 Pierce Impel with a 1500 gallon/minute pump and 1000 gallon water tank. Engine 1 is currently our primary first out apparatus for firefighting and EMS response. It is equipped with an assortment of attack and supply hose, firefighting equipment, and basic medical supplies.

Engine 3:

Engine 3 is a 2006 Pierce Contender with a 1500 gallon/minute pump and 1000 gallon water tank. Engine 3 is currently our reserve/second out engine for firefighting and EMS response. This apparatus is setup very similarly to Engine 1.

Rescue 1:

Rescue 1 is a 1999 Pierce Saber and is the most seasoned truck in our fleet. In 2022, Rescue 1 was refurbished in order to extend its operational use. This truck is primarily configured for vehicle extrication, hazmat, service company equipment, and ground ladders up to 40 feet.

Tanker 2:

Tanker 2 is a 2013 International/Rosenbauer with a 500 gallon/minute pump and 2000 gallon water tank. This apparatus plays a critical role in fireground operations by shuttling water in areas of our territory that are not hydranted. Tanker 2 plays a larger role in Wake County by participating within the county's Tanker Task Force.

Car 1:

Car 1 is a 2023 Chevy Tahoe. Car 1 is currently being used by the Fire Chief.

Car 2:

Car 2 is a 2007 Ford Explorer. Car 2 is currently being used by the Deputy Chief.

Car 3:

Car 3 is a 2017 Ford F250. Car 3 is a general purpose vehicle, being used for run errands or for transporting firefighters and equipment.
